Role Summary

The Senior Technology Development Engineer will lead evaluations and enablement of cutting-edge semiconductor technologies essential for future products. Collaborating closely with integrated circuit designers, product engineering, and commercial teams, the engineer will establish technology requirements and work alongside external foundries on process development, optimization, and specially tailored devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Helming semiconductor technology assessments and nurturing enablement initiatives for upcoming product lines
  • Partnering with IC design, product engineering, and commercial teams to specify technology needs
  • Engaging with foundry collaborators on process progress, technological enhancements, and specialized device solutions
  • Troubleshooting intricate technology, reliability, and performance issues in mixed-signal products
  • Offering expert advice on process integration to design and layout teams regarding technology capabilities, manufacturability, and adherence to design rules
  • Evaluating device characterization and reliability data for technology validation and introduction
  • Leading interdisciplinary technical projects spanning advanced analog, mixed-signal, low-power, and power device areas

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Electronics Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum five years' experience in semiconductor technology development, process integration, technology transfer, or advanced process engineering
  • Deep knowledge of semiconductor device physics and characterization techniques
  • Expertise with technology nodes from mature to advanced manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of semiconductor reliability phenomena such as HCI, TDDB, SOA assessments, and associated qualification approaches
  • Acquaintance with analog and mixed-signal technology requirements including device matching, noise considerations, power management, and multi-voltage designs
  • Robust analytical skills for interpreting data and resolving complex engineering problems
  • Experience coordinating with diverse stakeholders from design, technology, manufacturing, and product departments
  • Capability to juggle multiple technical initiatives in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to undertake international travel when necessary
