About Movable Ink

Movable Ink empowers marketers by enabling data-driven content personalization and AI-powered decision making. Serving leading global brands, the company operates primarily from its New York City headquarters with about 600 employees, supporting customers worldwide across North America, Central America, Europe, Australia, and Japan.

Role Overview

The Senior Technical Product Manager will spearhead the product strategy for event data pipelines, collaborating closely with data engineering teams to enhance ingestion, normalization, and accessibility of high-quality, governed event data. This position bridges product leadership with data infrastructure, focusing on pipeline and platform architecture that underpins personalization and AI initiatives:

  • Own and manage the backlog related to event data pipelines, including real-time event streaming, ML-generated data normalization, and governed data infrastructure working hand-in-hand with engineering.
  • Translate requirements from commercial teams such as Sales and Customer Experience (CX) into detailed, executable product plans for engineering teams.
  • Maintain effective, visible partnerships across commercial and cross-functional groups to ensure alignment of work with customer and business priorities.
  • Contribute across data and integration products, ensuring coherence of platform roadmap where event data pipeline decisions impact other areas.
  • Set and monitor quality and reliability standards for pipeline features, evaluating performance within 60 to 90 days post-launch.
  • Stay informed on evolving technologies and architectural trade-offs concerning event data and data platforms, providing strategic insights.
  • Act as a strong advocate for customer needs in all interactions and decisions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing products involving complex data systems and collaborating with engineering teams.
  • In-depth understanding of event data pipelines, including streaming ingestion, real-time processing, and data normalization techniques.
  • Experience with modern data stack technologies such as Snowflake, Kafka, Databricks, and Airflow; engineering background is an asset.
  • Proven skill translating stakeholder input from business and non-technical groups into actionable technical requirements.
  • Ability to build trust and effective communication lines between technical and commercial teams.
  • Strong skills in backlog prioritization with awareness of cross-platform dependencies.
  • Excellent communication abilities suited for agile ceremonies and customer-facing discussions.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a base salary range of 123300 to 160000 CAD annually, potentially supplemented by bonuses. Additional benefits include comprehensive medical coverage, financial options, and other perks. Salary offered will reflect the candidate's expertise and experience.

The company is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive culture encouraging applications from all backgrounds, including those typically underrepresented or marginalized. They welcome diversity in every form and proudly maintain an equal employment opportunity environment where all employees can thrive.
