Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will serve as a key technical leader within the engineering team, dedicated not only to producing outstanding code but also to nurturing the surrounding culture, systems, and team members. Your responsibilities include designing, developing, and delivering sophisticated software solutions that form the backbone of our banking platform. This involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to develop software that sets new industry standards for reliability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement critical features for Constantinople's core platform, managing projects from design to production deployment.
• Lead improvements in architectural frameworks across various projects to elevate the engineering standards of the team.
• Work in partnership with product, design, and data teams to tackle complex technical challenges with thoughtful and practical solutions.
• Participate in cross-team engineering projects and help define best practices organization-wide.
• Enhance internal tooling to support data-driven analysis and reporting for Constantinople’s broader team.
• Maintain a platform that is secure, performant, and highly reliable, sharing responsibility for its stability.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow engineers to promote team growth and skill sharing.

Candidate Profile

• Possess over five years of professional experience in software engineering, with a proven record of managing major systems in production.
• Exhibit strong understanding of software design principles and scalable architectural patterns.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript in live production settings.
• Comfortable working across the technology stack; experience with React or React Native is advantageous.
• Experience building serverless architectures on AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB, is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design or event-driven architectures is a plus.
• Bring a collaborative approach, knowing when to lead and when to support team efforts.
• Have an interest or experience in financial technology, banking, or regulated sectors; although not mandatory.
