Job Overview
Join the Akamai Enterprise Security Group as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to building the future of technology by developing robust, scalable, and user-centric solutions for one of the world's largest distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multiple internal teams to gather requirements and partner with architects to design comprehensive enterprise software solutions.
- Develop new features and improve existing functionalities from initial design through deployment and testing.
- Engage in agile development cycles to consistently deliver high-quality software.
- Address enhancements and resolve bugs in current applications.
- Assess, maintain, and enhance performance of distributed systems.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior software engineers regarding technical aspects.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficient in application development using Java, Spring framework, JavaScript, and database technologies.
- Experienced in build automation with Jenkins.
- Knowledge or exposure to Artificial Intelligence technologies is a beneficial addition.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present ideas to various stakeholders.
- Competent in Linux command-line operations and shell scripting.
