Senior Software Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Avance Consulting in Sydney or Melbourne, Australia, on a permanent basis. This role focuses on backend development, cloud-native solutions, and integration with various enterprise systems.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using C# and the latest .NET technologies.
• Create RESTful APIs and integration services to support business needs.
• Work with PCC and other enterprise APIs to ensure seamless integration.
• Develop cloud-native applications leveraging DHP and AWS platforms.
• Containerize applications to support modern deployment strategies.
• Implement automated test suites and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Build telemetry and observability features to monitor system health and performance.
• Identify and resolve defects in applications and data integration processes.
• Provide production support including release management and incident response.
• Enhance performance, security, and resilience of software services.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Proficiency in C# programming language.
• Experience with modern .NET frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of ASP.NET Core for web service development.
• Capability to build and consume RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Solid SQL database skills.
• Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker.
• Use of Git for version control.
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Implementing automated testing frameworks and practices.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience with DHP platform.
• Knowledge of .NET 8.
• Understanding of AWS Lambda and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with Snowflake data platform.
• Background in payment card systems and PCC integration.
