About the Role
Ranking Copilot is seeking an exceptional AI-focused Senior Software Engineer to help transform how software development is conducted by integrating AI natively into every aspect. This position requires someone who is fervently passionate about AI advancements, highly intellectually curious, and eager to embrace the rapid evolution of software engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay continuously updated on emerging AI models, coding tools, agent workflows, and industry research, promptly testing promising innovations.
- Pursue a deep understanding of significant AI developments, their mechanics, and implications for software construction.
- Deliver high-quality software quickly, focusing on timely production rather than extended planning.
- Adopt a solution-oriented mindset, finding workable alternatives when initial approaches fail.
- Embed AI at the core of development processes rather than superficially adding AI assistants.
- Collaborate closely with the Founder and CEO in an intense, fast-paced startup environment.
Specific Objectives
- Drive an AI Native development and QA structure where work begins with clear specs and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize verification planning before coding and shift QA left by defining tests early.
- Replace manual code review with automated deterministic checks, linters, architecture rules, and tests.
- Keep requirements, technical choices, and context tightly aligned with code and continuously maintained.
- Automate repetitive tasks through reusable AI skills, rules, and workflows.
- Enable agents to autonomously carry out increasing parts of development and QA.
- Focus human expertise on architecture, judgment, product decisions, and delivering outcomes.
- Maintain hands-on involvement, proving these concepts through active software delivery.
