Role Overview

The Senior Risk Manager will act as a technical expert with comprehensive knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks spanning multiple jurisdictions. The role demands independent judgment to oversee various multi-jurisdictional risk-related functions. Key tasks include coordinating risk processes such as the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), revising risk policies, and monitoring risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and coordinating daily RCSA activities across business units under CRO guidance.
  • Maintaining and updating local risk and control registers.
  • Contributing to the review and adjustment of local risk policies and risk appetite monitoring.
  • Managing collection and analysis of internal loss data and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), identifying trends to detect emerging risks.
  • Suggesting and implementing improvements in the operational risk framework and data collection tools to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Providing risk partnering and oversight support alongside senior branch management.
  • Sharing expertise with teams and business owners on risk taxonomy and control standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Actuarial Science, or Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management within the insurance or reinsurance sector, preferably with exposure to European, Bermudan, or Singaporean regulations.
  • Experience interacting with senior management or regulators is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II, MAS, CBI, BMA, or their equivalents.
  • Expertise in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) software tools.
  • Professional certifications like CERA, IRM, PRM, or FRM are preferred.

Additional Information for US-based Candidates

The annual base salary ranges from $110,000 to $145,000, dependent on education, experience, qualifications, and work location. Benefits include health insurance, wellness programs, life and disability coverage, 401k matching, retirement plans, paid holidays, and PTO.
