Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role demands strong expertise in automation testing, proficiency in Python, and hands-on experience with various testing and development tools, frameworks, and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Utilize robust QA Automation Frameworks to maintain high-quality software standards.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts primarily in Python, with additional familiarity in at least one among Go, C++, or Rust.
• Perform comprehensive API testing to ensure reliability and security of services.
• Test microservices and distributed system architectures thoroughly.
• Operate widely used automation tools such as Selenium and/or Playwright for UI testing.
• Leverage Postman for validating API endpoints.
• Integrate testing workflows with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab.
• Manage containerized environments employing Docker and Kubernetes for testing deployment scenarios.
• Conduct performance testing using tools like k6 or JMeter to measure system thresholds and reliability.
• Engage in security testing applying OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, and static/dynamic analysis methodologies (SAST/DAST).
• Ensure code quality and security compliance through SonarQube Quality Gates.
• Apply thorough system testing phases such as System Integration Testing (SIT), Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Communicate effectively in English within diverse teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in environments with strict regulatory or security requirements.
• Knowledge of air-gapped or on-premises infrastructure implementations.
• Understanding of ISO 27001 and cybersecurity compliance frameworks to align testing strategies.

Certifications

• Mandatory: ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer or ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst certification.
• Preferred: Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
