Role Overview
Red Hat is seeking a Senior Project Manager in New Zealand to lead complex projects from start to finish. This position involves overseeing project initiation, delivery, and closure while ensuring timelines and budgets are strictly adhered to. The role collaborates with diverse teams to enhance enterprise development solutions, ensuring they are feasible for business integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control project requirements, scope changes, and change management processes.
- Establish project monitoring and reporting methods, adapting operational plans as needed.
- Coordinate meetings across various departments, including support, finance, sales, and resource management.
- Support Operations in subcontractor procurement when necessary.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to junior project managers.
- Partner with leadership to craft project proposals, charters, estimates, and schedules.
- Plan, schedule, track, and communicate project progress.
- Analyze relevant data to identify and resolve key challenges.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 5 years experience managing IT-related projects.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- PMP certification, with practical knowledge of Agile and Scrum frameworks.
- Exceptional client-facing and internal communication capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication proficiency.
- Meticulous organizational abilities, multitasking effectively with attention to detail.
- Advanced interpersonal skills to collaborate across organizational levels.
- Possession of Australian Government Top Secret Positive Vet (PV) security clearance.
