Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead development and enhancement of our AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure, enabling seamless platform support. This role involves owning infrastructure from VPC layers upward, delivering Infrastructure as Code, collaborating with security, product, and data teams, and defining robust SLOs, SLIs, monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices. Setting internal standards for observability and shaping incident management processes are key responsibilities. The role also requires hands-on technical expertise to address technical debt, maintenance, and architectural innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and evolve AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) infrastructure foundation layers.
• Develop, maintain, and release Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Collaborate closely with security, product, and data teams to understand platform needs.
• Define service-level objectives, indicators, monitoring, alerting, and incident response frameworks.
• Establish and uphold excellence in observability standards across the organization.
• Analyze system health, scalability, and performance metrics to identify improvements.
• Ensure incident management processes, automation, and remediation are efficient and world-class.
• Provide deep technical expertise on owned services, addressing technical debt and integrating new architecture patterns.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated ownership in data reliability and observability, including monitoring data freshness, anomalies, schema drift, and defining data SLOs.
• Strong fundamentals in AWS, specifically with EKS/Kubernetes as a primary runtime, serverless architectures (Lambda), networking, and multi-availability zone setups.
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and building observability solutions.
• Insight into handling silent failures and how such experiences have informed improved workflows.
• Proficient in Go programming or a proven ability to rapidly acquire new programming languages.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development approaches.
• Experience with identity resolution, consent management, or authentication data modeling.
• Comfort with on-call systems and views aimed at minimizing alert fatigue.
• High level of ownership, clear communication, pragmatism, and an ability to fix issues in live environments.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Previous exposure to gaming technology, Marketing Technology (MarTech), or handling high-volume consumer data.
• Experience with identity and consent platform migrations or implementations.
• Strong interest in the gaming industry.
