Role Overview

As Qualtrics expands globally, the Senior Payroll Specialist becomes vital in supporting payroll operations for over 5,000 employees across 25 countries. Based in Sydney, Australia, this role interfaces between people and financial data, contributing significantly to corporate milestones including mergers and acquisitions and implementing a new global payroll system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure flawless payroll processing throughout APJ (Asia-Pacific and Japan) region, guaranteeing timely and precise pay cycles.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive employment records, serving as the definitive data source to support internal reporting.
  • Conduct thorough audits of payroll, benefits, and long-term incentives to detect discrepancies and enforce corrective measures.
  • Collaborate proactively in the rollout of a new global payroll platform and during M&A data integrations.
  • Prepare and facilitate annual internal and external audits to uphold global compliance and manage risks effectively.

  • Exemplary attention to detail ensuring complex payroll computations are error-free across diverse currencies and tax jurisdictions.
  • Strong analytical skills using advanced Excel techniques, such as vlookups and pivot tables, to identify patterns and efficiencies.

  • Self-driven problem solving with an aptitude for independent research of evolving tax regulations and proactive issue resolution.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred; ambitious recent graduates with strong HR or Finance internship backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically in using vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience working with international teams and diverse regulatory environments.
