Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Oracle CPQ (BigMachines/BMI) techno-functional developer to join our team in Chennai. This role entails being a vital contributor in an agile setting, focusing on supporting and enhancing our renewal quoting processes on the Oracle CPQ platform.
Expertise Required
- Proficient knowledge of ABO/Subscription Workbench and Commerce Processes.
- Hands-on experience with CPQ Data Tables, Attributes, Rules, BLM Scripts, and Steps such as Advanced Forwarding Rules.
- Familiarity with CPQ BOM Structure, Integration (API/SOAP), mapping rules, and BOM Tables.
- Expertise in BML Library Functions and BMQL scripting.
- Understanding of Analytics and Rating Engine functionalities.
- Experience designing Documents and Emails within the CPQ environment.
- In-depth understanding of Advanced Pricing Models and complex multi-tier pricing in channel sales contexts.
- Knowledge of Partner Organization and User management, including integration with Salesforce.com.
- Skill in configuring Advanced Approval routing and financial threshold setups via pricing analytics.
- Competence in creating Quote/Line Level Rules including Validation, Access/Hiding, Constraints, and Filters.
- Strong grasp of the CPQ Data Model.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Capability to maintain a broad perspective and prioritize effectively.
- Clear and effective communication skills both written and verbal for complex technical discussions.
- Exposure to Oracle CPQ Cloud Integration using pre-built connectors and point-to-point integration with Salesforce and Oracle ERP.
- Knowledge of web services technologies such as WSDL, SOAP, REST, XML, XML-Schema, XSL, and WS standards/Security.
- Experience handling Bulk Data Uploads and Migration Strategies.
- Understanding of Oracle Subscription Management Cloud and Service/Subscription Contracts schemas relevant to contract lines and assets for renewal quoting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead delivery and introduction of feature enhancements and new functionalities focusing on CPQ/BMI.
- Conduct detailed root cause analyses collaborating with technical, functional, and business experts, providing balanced tradeoffs and recommendations.
- Author technical design documentation addressing business challenges, and develop both short- and long-term solutions.
- Draft test cases for designed/configured functionalities and identify technical gaps.
- Review architectural plans, performance benchmarks, and ensure code quality standards are upheld on the Oracle CPQ platform.
- Support and analyze customer issues, defects, and enhancement requests, performing necessary technical research for effort estimation and prioritization.
- Participate throughout the software development lifecycle including analysis, requirement gathering, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Between 4 to 8 years of professional experience working with Oracle CPQ implementations or related industry exposure.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, computer science, or similar fields; alternatively, a minimum of 5 years equivalent practical experience.
