Senior Network Planner - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Role Overview

Join Oracle as a Senior Network Planner within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) division, where you will significantly contribute to the expansion and scalability of cutting-edge cloud services. As a critical member of the Global Network Planning Group, you will influence key strategic decisions impacting network infrastructure, data center subsea strategies, and market expansion efforts. Your expertise and strong partnerships with subsea providers will be vital in driving OCI’s sustained growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Steer business development efforts to facilitate network expansion by assessing and choosing suitable data center partners and site locations.
• Conduct negotiations for connectivity agreements and commercial contracts that satisfy technical specifications and foster business growth.
• Create and analyze total cost of ownership (TCO) models for evaluating deals in both existing and emerging markets.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the subsea network strategy aligns with overarching business goals.
• Maintain open lines of communication between OCI’s engineering teams and operations teams of subsea providers.
• Serve as OCI’s representative in engagements with senior technical leaders and executives across partner organizations.
• Build and sustain strategic alliances with a diverse array of subsea partners and data center operators.
• Secure advantageous terms, service-level agreements (SLAs), and pricing structures with subsea vendors to support OCI’s growth trajectory.
• Keep abreast of industry developments, including mergers, acquisitions, and the emergence of new players in the subsea sector.
• Document and communicate decisions and strategic recommendations effectively to internal technical leadership as well as high-level executives including VPs and SVPs.
