About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Paint Maintenance activities specific to PT-CED and the Paint Shop equipment at our passenger vehicle plant in Pune, Maharashtra. This position is critical for guaranteeing the highest levels of equipment availability, reliability, and performance by managing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance for PT-CED and Paint Shop machinery ensuring continuous and smooth production flow.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain complex systems such as rectifiers, anode cell assemblies, UF modules, baking ovens, diesel generators, forklifts, and paint/sealant circulation systems.
  • Ensure the reliable functioning of overhead power and free conveyors, slow and friction drive conveyors, and horizontal & vertical lift mechanisms.
  • Manage mechanical and utility services including centrifugal pumps, chillers, hot water generators, DM and RO water plants.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electro-mechanical, and automated systems to minimize downtime.
  • Implement utility consumption optimization initiatives targeting power, water, compressed air, and fuel efficiency.
  • Carry out preventive, predictive, condition-based, and breakdown maintenance, enhancing key metrics such as MTBF and reducing MTTR via root cause analyses.
  • Plan and execute shutdown maintenance schedules; handle spare parts inventory and critical spares control.
  • Maintain and program automation controls including PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFD systems; conduct fault diagnostics.
  • Work with software and protocols including RSLogix 5, Studio 5000/RSLogix 5000, FactoryTalk View SE & ME, PowerFlex Drives, Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, Modbus, RS-232/485 networks, and remote I/O setups.
  • Assist in installation, commissioning, system upgrades, and modernization projects with appropriate documentation and testing.
  • Champion TPM initiatives such as autonomous maintenance, focused improvement, Kaizen, 5S, and OEE enhancement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards including ISO/IATF, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and statutory safety norms.
  • Utilize SAP PM software for managing work orders, breakdown reporting, spare parts transactions, and maintenance planning.
  • Support digital maintenance initiatives leveraging SQL, Windows applications, and Python-based analytics tools.

Qualifications & Desired Profile

  • B.Tech or B.E. degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Between 5 and 15 years of relevant experience, preferably within automotive OEMs, auto component manufacturing, paint shop operations, industrial automation, or process industries.
  • Extensive experience with PT-CED and paint shop equipment maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on expertise in industrial automation, control systems, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in TPM, root cause problem solving, and maintenance planning.
  • Familiarity with automotive manufacturing best practices and maintenance excellence principles.
