Job description

Role Overview

The Senior Manager - Design will provide key support to project teams by leading design-related efforts such as developing design strategies, schedules, and guidelines, ensuring these align with the overall master plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and oversee the implementation of design guidelines for all development projects, collaborating closely with the Design Director.
  • Develop and execute design plans to achieve objectives for assigned projects successfully.
  • Advise leadership on selecting design consultants, including managing initial outreach, Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, contract finalization, and administration, in coordination with the Design Director.
  • Support project teams in formulating design strategies to facilitate efficient project completion whenever necessary.
  • Assist design, development, and construction teams with scheduling, budgeting, and planning activities.
  • Conduct regular internal design reviews to ensure alignment with the master plan and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Evaluate design deliverables and recommend improvements to ensure compliance with quality standards and strategic goals.
  • Coordinate multiple consultants from initial concept stages through execution to maintain consistency with Qiddiya's master plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related disciplines; a Master’s degree in these fields is favored.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in design management, architecture, urban planning, master planning, or major mixed-use development projects.
  • Proficient understanding of master planning, urban design guidelines, governance frameworks, and quality assurance in design.
  • Strong capabilities in managing consultants and negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
