Your Role in the Team

Joining the Product, Practice, and Knowledge (PPK) group within Knowledge Management, you will support our global Retail Practice, renowned for its energy and innovation. This practice encompasses diverse retail sectors including Grocery, Mass, Apparel, Luxury, Specialty, Department Stores, Discount, Restaurants & Food Service, and Recreation & Leisure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert assistance to Partners and consulting teams by curating and sharing Bain's highest-value content, experience, and insights relevant to retail engagements.
• Identify and connect internal experts across Bain to support case teams.
• Collaborate with Information Services and Centers of Excellence to integrate internal and external knowledge resources for consultants.
• Develop concise summaries and bespoke analyses as needed.
• Capture and maintain practice knowledge on Bain's global intranet from client engagements and project work.
• Coordinate with fellow Senior Specialists to identify cross-practice content priorities and knowledge gaps.
• Liaise with case teams and practice affiliates to source and disseminate the most pertinent information.
• Manage metadata to optimize search functionality and improve analytics and AI-driven outputs.
• Package key insights into accessible formats for wide distribution.
• Collaborate on new product development to address content deficiencies.
• Oversee the Retail Practice pages on the intranet, ensuring top-tier materials are featured.
• Experiment with and integrate AI tools to enhance work efficiency and quality.
• Analyze drivers behind practice performance to guide strategic content planning.
• Support logistics and content preparation for annual practice meetings.
• Drive engagement among practice affiliates through experience-sharing activities and publications.
• Participate in and occasionally lead global trainings, group projects, mentoring, and other team initiatives within the practice and PPK team.
• Provide mentorship and developmental feedback to junior team members.

About You

• You hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with strong academic performance.
• You bring at least 4 years of professional experience, ideally within a consulting firm or retail organization, covering areas like knowledge management, research, strategic planning, business development, consulting, marketing, product/category management, assortment planning, pricing, or project management.
• You possess strong intellectual curiosity and a passion for the retail industry.
• Your analytical skills support creative, innovative problem-solving approaches.
• You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Known for meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills, delivering high-quality outputs.
• You regularly utilize AI tools and embrace a growth mindset toward their application.
• You can work independently while valuing collaborative coaching and teamwork.
• Exhibit a superior customer service orientation, positivity, energy, and enthusiasm.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities enable engagement with senior executives globally across different time zones.
