Overview
Join Arm's CPU Group as a Senior Formal Verification Engineer to spearhead the application of cutting-edge formal verification methods on pioneering CPU architectures. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the development and verification of next-generation CPUs that will support billions of devices globally.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for researching, devising, and implementing advanced formal verification techniques on upcoming projects. Collaboration with Arm’s foremost formal verification specialists will be essential as you both guide the strategic approach and engage directly in hands-on verification activities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in formal verification of highly complex designs.
- A robust engineering mindset paired with a passion for digital design verification and an interest in processor and digital system architectures.
- Deep knowledge of computer architecture, microarchitecture, and fundamental verification principles.
- Proven ability to apply theoretical formal verification concepts to practical, effective design validation tasks.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with commercial formal verification toolsets.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Tcl, or Shell.
- Understanding of Arm architecture and AMBA protocols.
- Experience with advanced model-checking approaches.
- Knowledge of assume-guarantee reasoning, invariants, and abstraction methods.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is £73,500 to £99,500.
