Senior Financial Analyst

Position Overview

MongoDB is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join and expand the Go-To-Market (GTM) Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role involves key financial duties such as planning, forecasting, reporting, and collaborating with internal teams to influence strategic decision-making and efficient use of resources. The analyst will play an essential role in supporting the company’s success by partnering with executives and leaders to assess, implement, and evaluate critical business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strong working relationships and act as a trusted advisor to GTM partners across Sales Development, Sales Enablement, Sales Acceleration, and Sales Operations, gaining deep knowledge of business drivers and strategic goals.
• Create and maintain comprehensive financial and operational models to aid in budget preparation, forecasting, headcount planning, and resource management.
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses and build models that inform leadership on operational efficiency, capital deployment, and GTM investments.
• Manage financial month-end close tasks, including headcount audits, accrual reviews, and budget-to-actual reporting.
• Drive process improvements by standardizing, automating reports, and optimizing the use of internal systems and tools to elevate business, operational, and financial workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related fields.
• 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in FP&A or related analytical roles emphasizing critical thinking and quantitative analysis.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, Google Workspace, NetSuite, Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with financial planning tools (experience with Pigment is preferred). SQL knowledge is an advantage.
• Proven ability to interpret data, derive insights, and provide actionable business recommendations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships at all organizational levels; prior experience as a business partner and background in technology are pluses.
• Results-driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and handle a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Additional Information

This hybrid role involves working two days per week in either our Dublin or Cork office, reporting to management based in New York City.
