Job description
Role Overview
MongoDB is looking to expand its Go-To-Market Financial Planning and Analysis (GTM FP&A) team with a Senior Financial Analyst. This role centers on financial strategy, forecasting, reporting, and deep collaboration with business stakeholders to influence decision-making and resource allocation. The analyst will be crucial in assisting leadership in planning, executing, and evaluating key strategic business projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture strong advisory relationships with GTM teams including Sales Development, Sales Enablement, Sales Acceleration, and Sales Operations to understand business drivers and ensure alignment with MongoDB's objectives.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial and operational forecasting models, incorporating headcount and resource planning to support stakeholder requirements.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling to advise leadership on effective operational strategies and investment in GTM programs.
- Support monthly financial close processes, including headcount reconciliation, accrual assessments, and budget vs actual performance analyses.
- Enhance business, operational, and financial processes by standardizing and automating reports and optimizing the use of internal systems and tools.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, business, or economics.
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience in FP&A or roles involving rigorous analytical thinking and quantitative analysis.
- Advanced financial modeling expertise; proficiency with Google Suite, NetSuite, Microsoft Excel, and financial planning software (Pigment preferred); familiarity with SQL is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills capable of interpreting data to make practical recommendations.
- Proven ability to build firm relationships and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels; prior experience in business partnering is advantageous along with a background in technology.
- Results focused with demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize urgent assignments.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.

Additional Information
