Senior Bicycle Mechanic

About the Role

A new specialized cycling shop in Doha, Qatar, SOLAN, is seeking an experienced Senior Bicycle Mechanic with deep expertise in servicing and assembling high-end road bicycles. This role demands passion for cycling and proficiency with top-tier components and systems.

Key Responsibilities and Experience Required

• At least 5 years working in a professional bicycle repair environment.
• Expertise in assembling and maintaining carbon fiber road bikes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Shimano Di2 electronic shifting systems.
• Skilled servicing and troubleshooting of SRAM AXS groupsets.
• Proficient in hydraulic disc brake maintenance, including bleeding procedures.
• Experience with tubeless tire setups and resolving related issues.
• Wheel truing and ongoing wheel upkeep.
• Installation and servicing of bottom brackets and headsets.
• Diagnostics and fine-tuning of drivetrain mechanisms.
• Perform full bike assembly adhering to professional workshop standards and proper torque specifications.
• Effective use of specialized workshop tools.

Additional Preference Criteria

• Previous employment at a reputable bike shop or workshop.
• Hands-on experience with premium high-end road bike models.
• Organized, reliable, and ability to deliver precise and neat workmanship.
• Basic communication skills in English.
• Willingness to relocate and work in Doha, Qatar.

Compensation & Application Details

The salary is competitive and will be negotiated according to the candidate’s expertise and skill. Relocation allowances and employment specifics will be communicated individually with those shortlisted.
