Within EY Asia-Pacific, EY AI & Data forms the advanced analytics and data capability, comprising over 500 experts specializing across multiple industries. We deliver data-driven strategies, develop data platforms, and build advanced analytical solutions that enable client organizations to expand, optimize, and protect their business. Our expertise spans architects, project managers, analysts, data scientists, engineers, developers, and consultants delivering end-to-end data environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and construct scalable end-to-end data pipelines (both batch and near-real-time).
• Aggregate data from diverse sources such as databases, APIs, applications, and external services.
• Process, cleanse, and prepare datasets to facilitate reporting and analytical use cases.
• Establish and maintain data lakes and warehouses utilizing AWS services including S3, Glue, Athena, and Redshift.
• Develop ETL and ELT workflows leveraging Glue, Lambda, and orchestration platforms.
• Guarantee pipeline data quality, dependability, and scalability.
• Optimize data modeling techniques, partitioning strategies, and query performance.
• Enhance pipeline efficiency and manage cloud resource expenditure effectively.
• Continuously monitor data jobs and proactively handle failure resolutions.
• Enforce data access controls through IAM and uphold encryption, data lineage, and governance standards.
• Ensure adherence to data privacy, protection, and regulatory frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with Data Analysts to deliver datasets optimized for analytics.
• Support Data Scientists in machine learning and advanced analytics initiatives.
• Coordinate with Cloud and Platform Engineering teams on best infrastructure practices.

Candidate Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience in AWS-based data engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven expertise with AWS data services: S3, Glue, Athena, and Redshift.
• Strong skills in SQL and Python programming languages.
• Track record of developing and maintaining production-level data pipelines.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts, including star and snowflake schema designs.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with streaming technologies such as Kinesis or Kafka.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Exposure to data visualization and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight.
