Senior Assistant Manager / Manager, Education Technology

About the Role

The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) seeks a Senior Assistant Manager or Manager for Education Technology within the People & Organisation Development (POD) department. This position supports IMH's mission to lead in mental health education across Asia by transforming educational programs through innovative digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and digital conversion of learning programs into online and hybrid formats using subject matter expertise collaboration.
• Create engaging multimedia content, including videos, interactive modules, quizzes, and readings integrated into the Maivenpoint LMS platform.
• Produce and manage video content from scripting through post-production to support healthcare education.
• Continuously scan and evaluate new education technologies, such as VR, gamification, AI, and microlearning to enhance learning experiences.
• Implement a tiered support model to prioritize and manage education technology requests effectively across departments.
• Develop training and coaching programs to build internal digital instruction capabilities among educators and staff.
• Establish quality assurance procedures incorporating feedback, data analysis, and academic collaboration to optimize learning outcomes.
• Lead innovations in digital learning, participate in professional development, and share advanced knowledge within the team.
• Maintain technical and process documentation to support sustainable operations and knowledge retention.
• Manage and mentor team members, promoting a collaborative and growth-oriented work culture.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong instructional design background with ability to convert clinical content into effective digital learning materials.
• Proficiency with e-authoring tools (Articulate) and LMS platforms (Maivenpoint), alongside videography and video editing.
• Competent in planning, filming, and editing videos suitable for professional healthcare education.
• Exceptional multitasking and project management skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities across clinical and non-clinical teams.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and continuously curious about emerging digital learning technologies.
• Leadership experience with aptitude to develop and support team members.
• Personal dedication to mental health and improving educational outcomes.

Educational & Professional Qualifications

• A degree in instructional design, educational technology, communications, learning and development, or a related area.
• Between 4 and 6 years of applicable experience in education technology, preferably within healthcare or similar complex environments.
• Experience supervising or leading a team is a plus.
