About the Role and Company

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and refine sophisticated AI, machine learning, forecasting, optimisation, and control algorithms tailored to industrial applications.
- Create mathematical models, simulations, digital twins, and predictive analytics using Python and MATLAB.
- Analyze extensive IoT and operational datasets to develop actionable insights and integrate algorithms into production platforms and customer products.
- Build scalable microservices to deploy AI and ML solutions in cloud and edge environments.
- Provide mentorship to engineers and promote best practices in data science across teams.
- Collaborate with application architects to integrate solutions within containerized microservices and distributed computing environments.
- Identify new business growth opportunities by analyzing data trends and industry developments.
- Develop data modeling, mining, pattern analysis, visualization, and machine learning solutions aligned with customer and business needs.
- Build strong relationships with business teams by understanding processes proactively and recommending innovative data-driven solutions.
- Effectively communicate project outcomes emphasizing customer value, business objectives, and product potentials.
- Drive data science methodology adoption across various functions and work with infrastructure teams to shape enterprise platform strategies supporting business expansion and productivity.
Candidate Qualifications
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or related technical field.
- At least 7 years of experience in data science, machine learning, applied AI, cloud technologies, advanced analytics, or algorithm development.
- Over 5 years of practical experience in Python software development and more than 3 years using MATLAB for modeling, simulation, optimisation, and algorithm creation.
- Proven track record of developing predictive analytics, optimisation, forecasting, or advanced control systems.
- Experience deploying machine learning solutions to production environments, with knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, software testing, version control, and engineering best practices.
- Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark.
- Strong foundation in statistics, mathematical modeling, optimisation methods, and machine learning theories.
Preferred Experience
- Expertise in building automation, energy management platforms, and industrial IoT systems.
- Knowledge of advanced optimisation techniques, reinforcement learning, model predictive control (MPC), and control algorithms.
- Experience with digital twin technology and real-time simulation frameworks.
- Background in industrial automation and operational technology environments.
- Proficiency with streaming analytics and real-time data processing pipelines.
- Skills in NLP, computer vision, image analytics, or deep learning approaches.
- Hands-on with Azure Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, and MLOps ecosystems.
- Experience using SQL, Tableau, and modern analytics platforms.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with globally dispersed engineering teams.
