Senior Accountant

About the Role

Leeside Talent Solutions is seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join the finance team of a dynamic and expanding industrial company. This position demands a proactive, practical approach, encompassing responsibility for financial reporting, management accounts, controls, and financial analysis, while actively supporting commercial initiatives to enhance business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile monthly management accounts and prepare financial reports.
• Assist in year-end accounts preparation and statutory reporting duties.
• Support budgeting processes, forecasting activities, and financial planning.
• Ensure maintenance of strong financial controls including reconciliations, cash flow management, and working capital oversight.
• Contribute to tax compliance, audits, and meeting statutory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with operational teams to bolster profitability, cost management, and overall performance.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and management reporting.
• Mentor and support junior finance team members.
• Identify and recommend improvements to finance systems, processes, and reporting frameworks.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA) or actively pursuing such qualifications.
• Relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, or process-driven environments preferred.
• Proven expertise in financial reporting and management accounting.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial control mechanisms.
• Proficient in Excel and experienced with ERP or accounting software systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Capable of working autonomously while effectively partnering with broader business teams.
