Role Summary

The Security Manager is pivotal in safeguarding the wellbeing of guests, staff, and property at Banyan Tree Doha. This role focuses on implementing effective security policies, ensuring emergency preparedness, overseeing loss prevention, fire and life safety, and maintaining compliance with hotel standards and legal guidelines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and supervise hotel security policies, procedures, and operational protocols.
• Oversee daily security activities including patrols, access control, monitoring CCTV, incident documentation, and preventing asset loss.
• Implement strict access management for contractors, suppliers, and visitors, handling issuance of passes meticulously.
• Safeguard confidentiality concerning all security documentation and investigations.
• Review daily security reports and logs, escalating significant concerns promptly.
• Ensure comprehensive readiness for emergencies aligned with hotel procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering to regularly inspect and maintain safety and fire-fighting equipment.
• Formulate, update, and maintain emergency manuals, fire and safety procedures, and crisis management strategies.
• Organize and lead regular fire drills, evacuation practices, and emergency simulations.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with local Police, Fire Brigade, and pertinent authorities through regular visits.
• Provide basic security awareness and emergency responsibility training to all staff members.
• Deliver specialized training to Security team personnel in areas such as fire prevention and fire-fighting, life-saving techniques, crime scene preservation, crisis response, report writing, and guest interaction skills including psychology and public relations.
• Work with Human Resources and Learning & Development departments to schedule ongoing technical and skills training initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to the Integrated Management System encompassing quality management, environmental management, occupational health and safety, food safety, and handling customer complaints.
• Participate actively in risk management, environmental protection, energy and water conservation, and continuous improvement programs.
