SAP ECM Consultant

Overview

This role requires an experienced SAP ECM/OpenText consultant based in Kolkata, responsible for implementing and supporting enterprise content management solutions within SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementations of SAP ECM/OpenText projects.
• Manage and support SAP OpenText Extended ECM, OpenText Content Server, SAP ArchiveLink, SAP Document Management System, and Vendor Invoice Management modules.
• Administer document lifecycle processes including creation, classification, version control, approval workflows, archiving, and retention policy enforcement.
• Integrate ECM solutions with SAP business modules such as Materials Management, Plant Maintenance, Finance, Environment Health and Safety, and S/4HANA.
• Configure workflows, document indexing, metadata management, and optimize document search functionality.
• Ensure compliance with authorization schemes, audit requirements, and regulatory controls for document repositories.
• Develop and review key project documentation including technical specifications, solution design documents, test scripts, user guides, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Communicate effectively and manage stakeholder interactions throughout project lifecycles.

Requirements and Experience

• 4 to 8 years of proven experience in SAP ECM/OpenText implementation and support.
• At least one complete SAP ECM/OpenText project implemented from start to finish.
• Solid hands-on skills with SAP OpenText Extended ECM, OpenText Content Server, SAP ArchiveLink, SAP DMS, and Vendor Invoice Management.
• Proficiency in document lifecycle management and integration with various SAP modules.
• Knowledgeable in workflow setups, indexing techniques, metadata administration, and advanced search capabilities.
• Experience with authorization frameworks and audit/compliance controls in document management systems.
• Strong documentation and communication abilities for stakeholder engagement.
