About the Company
This position is with a thriving men's and women's fashion business that supplies products to major high street stores. The company seeks an experienced Sales Import Merchandiser to join their team, managing key processes involved in sourcing and delivering fashion merchandise.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with clients and the internal Sales Team across UK, European, and Middle Eastern contract accounts. They will also contribute significantly within the Merchandise Team by managing both customer-specific contracts and orders linked to the company's stock range. Responsibilities include preparing costings for new styles, managing orders via the in-house PLMS system, overseeing the critical path for contracts, coordinating with multiple departments to ensure smooth operations, handling labelling and packaging requirements, managing sample requests for press and photography, resolving queries from customers and suppliers, and generating progress updates.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers and Sales Team on contract accounts across multiple regions.
- Administer customer contracts and stock range orders within the Merchandise Team.
- Prepare costings for development styles eliciting customer interest.
- Enter orders into the company’s PLMS system.
- Oversee the critical path associated with contract orders.
- Coordinate with Sales, Account Management, Shipping, Design, and Garment Technology teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Arrange for appropriate labelling and packaging with suppliers as needed.
- Manage samples for press and photography linked to customer orders.
- Handle correspondence to resolve customer and supplier issues promptly.
- Produce regular progress reports.
Candidate Requirements
- At least five years’ experience as an Import Merchandiser.
- Experience working with Blue Chip retailers and supermarkets.
- Familiarity liaising with suppliers in the Far East.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Highly organized and efficient with the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow and manage critical path processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
