Role Importance
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) position plays a pivotal role in Hansen's growth within the Communications and Media sector. You will identify, engage, and qualify promising prospects within telecom segments including Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs), Fixed Operators, and Pay TV providers. Positioned at the intersection of Sales and Marketing, you will convert intent signals into meaningful dialogues, driving pipeline creation and empowering the commercial teams to transform opportunities into revenue, ultimately expanding Hansen's footprint in the global telecom market.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize high-opportunity accounts leveraging intent data platforms, such as Demandbase.
- Proactively pursue, qualify, and convert leads into scheduled sales meetings.
- Own the top-of-funnel pipeline generation and early opportunity development.
- Map buying groups within target accounts using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Identify essential stakeholders including decision-makers, influencers, and potential obstacles.
- Develop highly tailored outreach messages according to specific personas and pain points.
- Implement multi-channel outreach campaigns across channels such as LinkedIn, email, and phone.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads through structured methodologies.
- Evaluate customer needs, urgency, and suitability before passing to Account Executives.
- Ensure timely follow-up on marketing-qualified leads (MQLs).
- Utilize tools like LinkedIn Sales Accelerator and Microsoft Sales Accelerator for list building, engagement, and outbound sequencing.
- Continuously refine messaging strategies to elevate conversion rates.
- Maintain precise CRM records (Dynamics 365), tracking activities and pipeline updates.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales teams to align on ideal customer profiles (ICPs), messaging, and campaign targeting.
- Deliver insights on market trends, buyer behavior, and campaign effectiveness.
- Assist broader go-to-market efforts and event follow-ups as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a relevant Bachelor’s degree or possesses equivalent experience.
- Exemplifies strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Has fundamental understanding of B2B sales processes and pipeline building.
- Shows a proactive, results-focused approach with high self-motivation.
- Quickly assimilates new information and adapts messaging to various buyer personas.
- Experience with CRM platforms like Dynamics 365 or similar systems.
- Knowledge of LinkedIn Sales Navigator and outreach/automation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience (including internships or roles) in sales, business development, or B2B marketing.
- Familiarity with telecommunications, SaaS, or technology sectors.
- Basic knowledge of telecom products, services, and market dynamics.
- Experience in supporting industry events or trade shows.
- Additional language proficiencies relevant to market needs.
