About the Role

Kraft Heinz, a leading global food and beverage company with numerous billion-dollar brands, invites ambitious professionals to join our New Zealand Sales team in Christchurch as a Sales Analyst. This permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career within a collaborative and dynamic environment, featuring a flexible work arrangement of three days in the office and two days remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial models in line with periodic accounting requirements, including revenue recognition and sensitivity analyses.
  • Develop and utilize Power BI data models and dashboards covering sales, margins, supply chain, and digital channels.
  • Transition manual Excel reports into automated, governed, and scalable Power BI solutions with clear metric definitions and quality assurance processes.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of large transactional datasets to inform pricing, revenue strategies, cost optimization, and identify trends and potential risks or opportunities.
  • Map out complete costing processes, consolidating financial information to ascertain true margins and profitability by customer and sales channel.
  • Create ROI analyses, business cases, and commercial proposals to support informed investment decisions related to trading terms, trade spending, cooperative efforts, and scan investments.
  • Gather, document, and translate stakeholder requirements into clear technical and business specifications in collaboration with Finance and Technology/Data teams.
  • Continuously improve and govern reporting assets by defining KPIs, managing data quality, auditing user acceptance tests, documenting changes, and decommissioning outdated reports.
  • Lead initiatives leveraging internal tools to enhance processes, accelerate adoption, and reduce decision-making cycles.
  • Support sales development by partnering with South Island Account and Field teams to cultivate sales skills and account management foundations for personal growth.
  • Comply with all company policies including Food Safety, Environmental health, Safety, Ethical, and Human Resources standards.

Candidate Profile

  • At least three years’ experience as a Business or Commercial Analyst in complex, large-scale settings supporting Sales and Finance functions.
  • Preferably experience within FMCG or retail sectors.
  • A tertiary qualification in Data, Finance, Business, Economics, or related disciplines.
  • Proven capability in eliciting, documenting, and translating both functional and non-functional requirements to deliver technical solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Strong commercial insight demonstrated by experience in building business cases and conducting ROI and scenario analyses, with an understanding of trade spending.
  • Advanced data analytics skills with large transactional data sets, including robust financial modeling expertise.
  • Expertise in reporting using advanced Excel functions and Power BI, including experience migrating reports from Excel to scalable Power BI dashboards.
  • Proficient in SQL, with additional experience in ERP systems like SAP and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities across multiple internal and external parties.
  • Motivated to evolve towards Sales and Account Management roles in the medium to long term.
  • Analytical and logical problem-solving skills with an ability to constructively challenge existing practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
