Role Overview
We are seeking a Safety Lead to join us full-time on-site in Bathinda. This position entails supervision and enhancement of health and safety protocols within the workplace. Key responsibilities include performing regular safety inspections, hazard identification, and enforcing compliance with applicable laws and internal guidelines. The role also involves developing and conducting safety trainings, maintaining safety records, and nurturing a culture that values safety awareness.
Daily Duties
- Monitor safety performance continuously.
- Coordinate investigations into incidents and accidents.
- Recommend and facilitate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with operational teams to implement preventative measures.
- Partner with management to revise safety procedures.
- Support ongoing improvements in environmental, health, and safety protocols.
Qualifications and Expertise
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety and Occupational Health with practical application skills.
- Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including managing regulatory compliance and mitigating environmental risks.
- Competence in designing and delivering safety training to various employee groups.
- Proven track record in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis and creating preventive strategies.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Safety Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Professional certifications like NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalents are beneficial.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and reporting capabilities, coupled with meticulousness and a methodical approach.
- Ability to work independently on-site and collaborate effectively across departments to encourage safe working conditions.
