About the Role

Embark on a two-year Rotational Development Program as an Applications Engineer focused on surveying and civil engineering technologies. This program is crafted to accelerate your career by providing diverse experience across four distinct divisions within the company, covering technical support, product testing, product management, and sales engineering. You will participate in impactful projects that leverage your technical expertise to bring innovative solutions that reshape industry practices globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete four six-month rotations to develop comprehensive skills in product development, testing, technical assistance, and sales support in different regions.
  • Ensure next-generation products meet quality standards by performing thorough testing in field and office environments and analyzing workflow efficacy.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to influence product direction, perform market analysis, and create strategic launch materials.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and deliver technical training to customers, partners, and internal personnel during significant industry events.
  • Investigate and implement emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to improve internal processes and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Surveying, GIS, Geography, Construction Management or a closely related field.
  • At least one internship or up to three years of relevant experience involving surveying, GIS, GPS, or positioning technologies.
  • Highly adaptable with strong critical thinking and self-directed motivation to manage changing priorities and drive independent projects.
  • Proven leadership abilities, a collaborative approach, and full legal rights to work in New Zealand.

Additional Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of construction and mapping software combined with experience in analytics and reporting tools.
  • Previous leadership roles in academic or professional settings.

Logistics and Work Environment

  • Position is based in Christchurch, New Zealand, requiring onsite presence.
  • Approximately 10% travel expected for role-related activities.
