Room Inspector (Weekend Availability Required)

Overview

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and public spaces to meet established hotel standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee Room Attendants including inspecting rooms and common areas, documenting deficiencies, ensuring corrections, and updating the House Inspection Report.
• Communicate with the front desk regarding room status to confirm readiness for guest occupancy.
• Provide Room Attendants with necessary supplies and equipment for their duties.
• Identify issues promptly, propose and implement timely solutions to operational challenges.
• Train, guide, and evaluate new and existing staff members.
• Inform Room Attendants about any new items to be stocked in guest rooms.
• Coordinate with maintenance about repairs or upkeep required in guest areas.
• Assist in delegating room assignments for Room Attendants.
• Comply with all safety, security policies, and company procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, or hazards immediately to supervisors.
• Support laundry operations by sorting and handling soiled linens for washing, drying, pressing, folding, and storage.
• Maintain a neat appearance and wear the company-provided uniform.
• Exhibit a courteous and welcoming attitude toward guests at all times.
• Participate in all required meetings and training sessions conducted by management.
• Work during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Successful completion of a background check is required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended durations, including reaching overhead occasionally.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
