Overview
Downer's Maintenance & ITS division is expanding its operations across South Australia, administering essential road and asset maintenance and construction services throughout the Barossa, Riverland, and South East Regions, which cover around 5,600 km of sealed roads. This opportunity allows you to contribute to impactful projects ensuring road safety and quality infrastructure.
Role Description
We are seeking a Road Worker based in Murray Bridge to support road maintenance and rapid hazard or emergency response. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy outdoor work and traveling across regional South Australia, engaging in diverse tasks with a strong focus on delivering high standards and prioritizing safety.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates a committed drive to support the community through excellent road maintenance practices.
- Possesses a valid Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid driver’s license.
- Holds a Construction Induction (White Card), which is mandatory.
- Possession of current Traffic Control certifications is highly valued.
- Proven experience in operating mobile plant, machinery, and equipment relevant to road maintenance and pavement operations.
- Flexible availability including night shifts, emergency call-outs, and weekend work as needed.
- Comfortable using digital tools such as tablets and smartphones for operational tasks.
