Retail Supervisor

Position Overview

We are seeking a Retail Supervisor to join our team at the Farmfoods store located in Kirkby-In-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire (NG17 7JE). This is a permanent full-time role requiring 39 hours per week spread over 5 days, with shifts starting from 7 AM every day of the week. Full flexibility including weekend availability is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage of 13.61, guaranteed 39 hours weekly, equating to a minimum weekly earning of 530.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the store manager by assisting to lead and motivate the team for smooth daily operations and excellent customer service.
• Manage the shop independently during the manager's absence, ensuring customers are well served, deliveries processed promptly, and shop routines for safety, cleanliness, and organization are maintained.
• Responsible for opening and closing the premises, managing cash transactions, ordering stock, and fostering team development among retail assistants.
• Oversee operational expenses control including shrinkage, waste management, and payroll monitoring.

Candidate Requirements

• Exhibit a positive, friendly, and diligent work ethic.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills, capable of building solid relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Be reliable and trustworthy, as you will form an integral part of a small team depending on your consistent performance.
• Experience as a supervisor, team leader, or manager in retail or related sectors is advantageous but not necessary; enthusiasm and potential for growth in retail management are also welcomed.
• Complete a Basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check prior to employment to verify any previous criminal convictions; employment is conditional on a clear result.
