About the Role and Company

The Retail Inventory Controller position, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is a full-time onsite role within a reputable international organization specializing in retail and consumer products. Role Summary

This role involves overseeing inventory accuracy across retail stores, warehouse locations, and retail systems. Central duties include enforcing solid inventory management procedures at stores, maintaining precise stock records, supporting retail operations with detailed audits, analysis, and reporting, as well as resolving discrepancies efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports tracking inventory details and analyze item performance thoroughly.
  • Develop and refine consistent and precise inventory report structures.
  • Identify items with high and low turnover rates, providing tailored reports to relevant teams.
  • Manage inventory adjustments and analyze deviations in quantity and pricing.
  • Investigate discrepancies in inventory systems and lead swift resolution efforts.
  • Maintain superior service standards internally and for external customers.
  • Ensure reliable stock data by reducing inaccuracies within store inventories.
  • Lead stock audit processes from planning stages through completion.
  • Align stock quantities and revenue in ERP systems with true inventory levels.
  • Effectively organize and analyze large datasets related to inventory.
  • Identify and recommend process enhancements to eliminate inventory irregularities.
  • Coordinate transfers of stock during receiving, shipping, end-of-season stock movement, and inter-branch relocations.
  • Report findings from investigations, particularly potential issues related to loss prevention, to senior management.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess a university degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Retail Management, or related fields.
  • Have 3 to 4 years experience specifically in retail inventory control roles.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in stock management, inventory reconciliation, and retail inventory operations.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and ERP platforms, favoring SAP.
  • Preferably have prior experience in consumer goods or apparel industries.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and investigative abilities capable of handling voluminous data.
  • Good insight into retail inventory control mechanisms, stock auditing procedures, and loss prevention strategies.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Proactive in spotting potential discrepancies and enacting preventive measures.
  • Customer oriented with excellent client service mindset.
  • Fluent communication skills in English and Arabic languages.
