Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the store team to consistently deliver outstanding customer experiences
  • Assist the Store Manager in coaching staff to improve knowledge and skills
  • Maintain a strong safety culture, promoting Work Health & Safety standards among the team
  • Help manage stock with accuracy and ensure adherence to stock integrity procedures
  • Support visual merchandising standards to keep stock displays attractive and consistent
  • Keep updated on pet care knowledge, products, and services actively
  • Recruit, onboard, and induct high-quality new team members
  • Cultivate a fun, supportive workplace culture to make coming to work enjoyable
  • Engage with local marketing initiatives and sponsorship opportunities

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar store leadership role or readiness to advance in retail management
  • Proven motivation to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams while fostering a positive culture
  • Effective prioritisation and time management skills in a dynamic environment
  • Commitment to promoting safe Work Health & Safety practices
  • Sound business acumen and adaptability to change
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and team members
