Role Overview
We are seeking a customer-centered Retail Assistant passionate about supporting daily retail operations including Family Stores, warehouses, and aligned with the organization's mission. Reporting to the Area Manager, this casual position operates within the Noosa region covering the Sunshine Coast. Remuneration and employment conditions adhere to the General Retail Award Level 3.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service to donors and shoppers, providing assistance across stores and collection points as needed.
- Handle donation processing and ensure that shop floors are adequately stocked and priced correctly.
- Perform opening and closing procedures for the store as per established protocols.
- Follow secure cash handling and banking procedures responsibly.
- Support the planning and implementation of store promotional events and activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service within a retail setting, demonstrating ability to collaborate and work within a team.
- Prior supervision experience in retail or related environments is highly desirable.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse individuals.
- Strong prioritization and time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Awareness and practical application of workplace health and safety standards.
- Physical fitness to perform the demands of the role.
