Overview
The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) position at Popeyes involves overseeing all facets of restaurant operations with a commitment to delivering exemplary guest experiences, meeting sales targets, and maintaining operational standards. The role demands leadership in team management, financial oversight, compliance with food safety regulations, and robust business performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage daily restaurant activities ensuring efficiency and smooth functioning.
- Enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational guidelines, and brand standards.
- Oversee cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and the ambiance of the restaurant.
- Ensure punctual opening and closing of the establishment and manage shifts effectively.
- Attain monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals through proactive local marketing, promotions, and upselling strategies.
- Evaluate daily sales data and deploy actionable plans to boost performance and profitability.
- Administer the Profit & Loss statement, tightly control food, labor and operating costs.
- Optimize workforce allocation while upholding service quality.
- Manage cash handling, banking processes, and financial reconciliations accurately.
- Recruit, train, and mentor restaurant staff; conduct regular performance assessments and provide feedback.
- Schedule employees and plan manpower needs strategically.
- Encourage a collaborative and motivated team environment to promote retention and succession planning.
- Deliver consistently exceptional customer service and manage complaints promptly and effectively.
- Track customer satisfaction metrics including online reviews and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
- Guarantee consistent quality in food and service delivery.
- Control inventory levels, monitor orders, reduce waste, and ensure proper stock rotation practices like FIFO/FEFO.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile inventory.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation standards, statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Facilitate the completion of internal and external audits.
- Promote a safe environment for both employees and guests.
- Compile and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports; monitor KPIs and recommend improvements.
- Communicate business performance updates to area or district management.
Performance Metrics
- Increasing sales and EBITDA/restaurants profitability.
- Controlling food and labor cost percentages.
- Maintaining high customer satisfaction (NPS) and positive online ratings (Google, Swiggy, Zomato).
- Ensuring order accuracy and timely service/delivery.
- Minimizing employee turnover and ensuring team training completion.
- Achieving strong audit and food safety scores, controlling inventory variance, and boosting store productivity.
Qualification and Experience
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor's degree or higher in hospitality, hotel management, business administration, or related disciplines is preferred. Candidates must have 3 to 7 years of professional experience within quick service restaurants (QSR), retail, hospitality, or restaurants.

Available positions are in the following Bengaluru areas: Yelahanka, Banashankari, AECS Layout, Haralur, and Marathahalli.
Compensation
The monthly salary range for the position is between INR 37,000 and INR 40,000.
