Role Overview

The Grocery Clerk will be responsible for a comprehensive range of store functions executed professionally and efficiently. This role includes delivering excellent customer service, encouraging customer loyalty, meeting customer requirements, and enhancing an engaged environment for both staff and shoppers.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety guidelines, corporate policies, and relevant company programs.
• Order, receive, and organize stock in line with inventory management procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service to fulfill shopper needs.
• Boost sales by actively promoting featured items.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the back shop and retail floor areas as per company standards.
• Prepare customer orders when needed.
• Manage department shrink processes as necessary.
• Assist in training newer or junior staff members.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Ability to effectively work independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to lift up to 20 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, and reaching.
