The company specializes in BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operations, delivering sophisticated aerial survey and inspection services.
Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Remote Pilot to enhance our operations team. This position suits candidates holding the appropriate licenses and comprehensive understanding of advanced RPAS operations but possibly limited in BVLOS experience. The role reports directly to the Chief Remote Pilot (CRP) and functions within a highly professional and safety-driven flight crew environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute EVLOS (Extended Visual Line of Sight) and BVLOS missions using Carbonix RPAS platforms under supervision and direction.
- Contribute to mission planning, conduct risk evaluations, and participate in executing extensive survey operations.
- Operate adhering strictly to CASA regulations, company ReOC conditions, and established safety management protocols.
- Support the Chief Remote Pilot and senior pilots with operational documentation and safety reporting efforts.
- Enhance proficiency in advanced mission planning methods, including LiDAR and photogrammetry survey techniques, and autopilot system operation.
- Be prepared to travel nationwide across Australia for various flight operations and client projects, with occasional international assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possess CASA RePL certification with sub-25kg rating; powered-lift endorsement is highly favored.
- Hold a valid Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC).
- Demonstrate solid understanding of EVLOS and BVLOS operational guidelines and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with mission planning software, GIS applications, and computerized workflows.
- Possess a current and valid Australian driver's license.
- Have legal working rights within Australia.
- Desirable qualifications include RePL with Powered Lift category endorsement, familiarity with BVLOS SORA application processes, and experience with Ardupilot or equivalent autopilot systems.
