Job description
Overview
This opportunity as a Relief Dispenser involves working within multiple stores located in a specific geographic area, supporting pharmacists and healthcare teams to assure the safe and effective dispensation of pharmacy services. The role is based in the UK; applications from outside the UK cannot be considered unless UK qualifications and work authorization are provided.
Key Duties
- Dispense prescriptions accurately while ensuring safety in medication supply, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and prescription collection.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to assist with the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
- Offer patients advice and guidance regarding their medicines, referring complex queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to maintain compliance and legality in dispensing activities.
- Stay informed about new store innovations and comply with operational standards.
- Assist patients in managing prescriptions, facilitating reliable repeat prescriptions to promote adherence and minimize waste.
- Communicate effectively with store teams to ensure continuous patient care.
Professional Development
You will engage with evolving in-store technologies to enhance dispensing processes, improving patient safety and allowing more patient interaction time. Ongoing training and career advancement options are available, including pathways to become a Pharmacy Technician or join store leadership.
Qualifications & Eligibility
- Completion of NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Advisor or an equivalent qualification.
- Flexibility and ability to travel within the designated geographic area.
- Valid UK right to work status is mandatory; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visas is not provided.
- Prior experience in community pharmacy is advantageous but not essential.
Compensation & Benefits
The remuneration starts from £13.92 per hour and can go up to £16.64 depending on location (specific to certain London areas).
