Recreation Experience Expert

Position Overview

This role operates as a central point for all recreational offerings at the property, ensuring guests receive comprehensive information about available amenities such as pools, beaches, entertainment/game rooms, fitness centers, and children's activity areas. The expert is tasked with encouraging and enrolling guests in recreation events while fostering a lively and enjoyable environment. Responsibilities include promoting safety and facility regulations, supervising activities, and responding promptly to any emergencies.

Key Duties

• Provide guests with detailed descriptions of recreation services and schedule their participation.
• Maintain a secure and enjoyable atmosphere by enforcing facility guidelines and safety protocols.
• Deliver cashier functions related to point of sales transactions within recreation areas.
• Support private events held within recreational spaces, including managing group activities.
• Monitor guests’ eligibility for activities to ensure safety and notify supervisors when concerns arise.
• Administer aid to injured individuals until professional medical assistance arrives.
• Preserve cleanliness and upkeep of recreational venues and related equipment.
• Report any workplace hazards, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Participate in required safety trainings and uphold company policies and procedures.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, safeguarding company assets.
• Greet and attend to guests with hospitality, including accommodating those with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly with guests and colleagues, answering telephones with proper etiquette.
• Collaborate with team members to meet shared objectives.
• Process transactions for rentals, activities, or sales efficiently.
• Meet or exceed standards for quality assurance and compliance.
• Read and interpret information presented in various formats and conduct visual inspections of equipment.
• Utilize computer systems and point of sale technology as part of daily tasks.
• Physically capable of standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, and managing lifting and moving of objects, sometimes requiring assistance.
• Navigate uneven or confined spaces and perform various physical movements such as bending, twisting, and reaching.
• Complete other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• No prior work or supervisory experience is required.
• Certifications: must possess valid CPR and First Aid certifications, along with any additional recreation equipment training mandated by local authorities.
