Role Overview

The Range Operator will play a key role in supporting the Range Supervisor with maintenance and operational tasks related to training area facilities, ensuring site security, compliance with standing orders, safety standards, and providing inspections and reporting assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Range Supervisor by performing routine maintenance and operation duties of range facilities while maintaining site security.
• Carry out inspections, upkeep, and maintenance of training areas and ranges.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and relevant quality standards.
• Support the delivery and performance of specialist training area and range activities.
• Provide detailed input and assistance in reporting for range operations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Experience or knowledge in facilities maintenance, minor repairs, and caretaker duties.
• Range Induction Course qualification is preferred.
• Medium Rigid Truck Licence is desirable.
• Possession of a current Open Driver's Licence.
• Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
• Completion of applicable Public Safety Training Package units as required for the role.
