Role Description

This full-time Quantity Surveyor position is based in Puducherry and offers a hybrid work setup allowing partial remote work. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing and reviewing bills of quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and financial plans across multiple sectors such as hospitality, residential, and infrastructure projects. Key tasks include cost monitoring, report preparation, tender evaluation assistance, and recommending cost-efficient construction methods aligned with FIDIC and other contract standards. Coordination with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers is critical to managing budgets, variation tracking, and ensuring precise cost forecasts throughout the project phases. Additional duties include aiding procurement, conducting value engineering, and supporting documentation for audits, technical handovers, and project closures.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Expertise in preparing BOQs and performing quantity takeoffs with the ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proven capabilities in cost control and financial management, including tracking expenses, managing change orders, and supporting value engineering processes.
  • Experienced in cost planning, forecasting, and reporting with clear communication of financial progress and final accounts.
  • Academic background in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
  • Knowledgeable in FIDIC or equivalent contract frameworks and familiar with construction contract administration and procurement procedures.
  • Proficient with QS and project management software such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical, numerical proficiency, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills suitable for multidisciplinary and hybrid work environments.
  • Experience working on hospitality, resort, infrastructure, or residential construction projects is advantageous.
