Role Overview
As a full-time Quantity Surveyor based on-site in Islāmābād, Pakistan, you will prepare and evaluate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), estimates, and tender documents for various projects. Your responsibilities include monitoring project expenses, tracking changes, and ensuring adherence to budget and contractual conditions. You will be involved from the pre-contract stage through to post-contract activities including cost planning, verification of contractor invoices, procurement assistance, and contract administration. Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and finance departments, you will regularly compile cost reports, contribute to value engineering initiatives, and support risk management efforts to enhance project performance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in cost planning and financial oversight to maintain budget control during project execution.
- Experience in preparing BOQs, quantity take-offs, and measurements specifically for residential and commercial construction.
- Competence in cost control methods, expense tracking, variation management, and timely, accurate reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, tender procedures, and compliance with local Pakistani building regulations.
- Capability to engage effectively with site teams; strong analytical, numerical, and detail-oriented skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities; proficiency in MS Excel and QS or related cost management software.
- Previous involvement in real estate development or building construction projects is considered a plus.
