Quality Lead - DEHE Vessel

Job Overview

The Quality Lead for the DEHE Vessel will oversee and implement the project's quality management program to ensure conformity with established quality systems during the installation of jackets, topsides, and pipelines. This role involves supervising quality assurance activities to meet all project requirements and support safe, compliant execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the Project Quality Plan and enforce the contractor's quality management processes at the fabrication yard to strictly adhere to project specifications.
• Carry out Construction Surveillance Programs to verify compliance of all fabrication and installation activities.
• Review and approve inspection and test plans, quality control processes, and testing methods submitted by EPC contractors and subcontractors.
• Oversee quality control specifically relating to welding procedures and standards.
• Participate in regular meetings with contractors and subcontractors to track project progress and address any quality concerns.
• Manage inspection resources, utilizing approved Site Inspection Services (SIS) agencies to ensure effective surveillance inspections.
• Deliver quality and welding training programs in collaboration with contractors aimed at eliminating frequent defects.
• Perform routine site walkthroughs alongside fabrication yard management to identify safety and quality issues and propose enhancements.
• Maintain comprehensive inspection records in a database aligned with the completions management system to facilitate a smooth transition to commissioning.
• Administer deficiency and non-conformance report (NCR) processes to identify, document, investigate, and resolve fabrication-related quality issues ensuring alignment with project requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering disciplines.
• Additional qualifications related to quality assurance, welding, and NDE inspection methodologies.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the offshore Oil & Gas sector, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity overseeing personnel or service vendors. Experience should include offshore structural and pipeline installation.
• Background working with oil and gas operators, contractors, or service providers on large operational or project initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, project specifications, industry standards, and quality assurance tools.
• Excellent command of English for both written and verbal communication.
