Quality Assurance Lead

Overview

Vistas Global is looking for a seasoned Lead in Quality Testing and Engineering to spearhead enterprise-wide QA strategies, testing governance, and quality engineering efforts within extensive technology and digital transformation projects based in Doha, Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish QA strategies, testing standards, governance structures, and quality processes across projects.
• Lead various testing activities including Functional, Integration, System, Regression, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), API, Performance, and Mobile testing.
• Promote test automation, continuous testing practices, and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee QA teams by managing resources, delivery scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Handle defect management processes, conduct root cause analyses, mitigate risks, and ensure release readiness.
• Collaborate effectively with business units, technology teams, project management offices, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
• Monitor key performance indicators related to testing, track quality metrics, assess test coverage, and gauge automation efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), regulatory compliance, and organizational quality standards.

Experience and Skills

• 15 to 20 years of experience in software QA/testing, with a minimum of 7 years in leadership roles within QA.
• Extensive background in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or Digital Banking sectors.
• Advanced expertise in QA governance, test planning, automation strategies, CI/CD, SDLC/STLC practices, and quality engineering principles.
• Proficiency with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Postman, and JMeter.
• Practical knowledge in API testing, performance testing, mobile testing for Android and iOS, as well as automated testing techniques.
• Strong capabilities in managing stakeholders, leadership roles, risk analysis, and effective communication.
• Possession of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
• Certifications like ISTQB, CSQA, CSTE, or CSTP are preferred; additional credentials such as PMP, ITIL, Agile, or Scrum certifications are considered beneficial.
