Job description
Overview
We invite applications for the role of Quality Assurance Coordinator based in Dubai to join our expanding Operations team at Chef Middle East. The incumbent will support the Quality Assurance Officer in maintaining an effective management system emphasizing Quality Assurance and Health & Safety throughout the company. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented communicators who demonstrate assertiveness.
Primary Responsibilities
- Complete and manage customer Food Safety assessment questionnaires and related documentation.
- Respond promptly and accurately to Quality Assurance inquiries.
- Prepare Corrective Action Request forms directed to customers and suppliers.
- Organize and maintain Quality Assurance files, both digital and physical, including FSMS manuals, procedures, policies, checklists, and monitoring records.
- Provide administrative support to the Quality Assurance Officer, including document editing, word processing, presentation preparation, filing, and internal document coordination.
- Draft and revise procedural documents and Standard Operating Procedures as necessary.
- Manage Food Watch BFS training requests and oversee customer linkage approvals.
- Conduct external audit facilitation in the absence of the Quality Assurance Officer as needed.
- Perform monthly Good Warehouse Practices and Vehicle Inspections when the Quality Assurance Officer is unavailable.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by Chef Middle East management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Food Technology, Food Science, Engineering or a minimum of two to three years’ experience in food plant or FMCG sectors relating to plant sanitation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Effective communication skills with customers, management, and team members.
- In-depth working knowledge of Quality Assurance protocols and food industry legislation including HACCP standards.
- Preference given to candidates with Basic or Intermediate Food Hygiene certifications.
- Strong problem-solving ability and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to initiate tasks independently with a self-motivated, results-driven work ethic.
- Demonstrates excellent teamwork aptitude, supporting collaborative efforts.
- Capable of meeting deadlines efficiently and working effectively under pressure.
- Committed to driving continuous improvements in processes and performance.
