The QC Coordinator position based at SGS ISL, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork, is an acting role requiring 39 hours per week, focused on delivering leadership and operational support within a GMP analytical laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the laboratory team, ensuring all members are adequately trained to fulfill their responsibilities effectively.
• Lead the team towards achieving organizational goals and represent the ISL facility during routine interactions with customers.
• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with operational planners and coordinators through regular daily and weekly meetings.
• Optimize testing workflows by balancing capacity, turnaround time commitments, and customer demands.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Conduct safety audits and leadership walkthroughs to reinforce a proactive safety culture.
• Lead Tier 1 meetings and participate as the team representative at Tier 2 meetings.
• Take responsibility for managing laboratory systems for both new and existing equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a third-level qualification in science or pharmacy.
• Have a minimum of four years’ experience working in a GMP-regulated analytical laboratory.
• Strong familiarity with analytical instrumentation, automated laboratory systems, and current regulatory standards.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing laboratory teams.
