QA Tester

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough manual and automated testing to validate software functionality and quality.
• Analyze requirements, specifications, and user stories to design pertinent test scenarios.
• Develop and maintain detailed test cases, scripts, and documentation.
• Detect, document, and monitor software bugs and defects.
• Replicate reported issues and provide explicit reproduction steps with supporting details.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing.
• Confirm that bugs are fixed and issues are resolved correctly.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to address defects.
• Participate actively throughout the software development lifecycle testing phases.
• Perform testing across different browsers, platforms, and devices as needed.
• Verify that application behavior aligns with business and technical requirements.
• Maintain accurate records concerning test results, defects, and testing progress.
• Provide updates on testing status, potential risks, and quality issues to stakeholders.
• Support user acceptance testing and validate new releases.
• Recommend improvements for testing processes, tools, and quality standards.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QA practices and documentation.
